The Centre regularly invites local and overseas speakers to conduct Dharma Courses and hold public Dharma Talks. |
Following the Buddhist teachings of compassion, the Centre engages ardently in charitable works, causes and social services by regularly sending donations to several local and overseas Buddhist and other welfare organisations, distributing bursary awards to needy students, providing meals to various nursing, children and youth homes, and giving financial aid to numerous disadvantaged families. |
To promote a vegetarian diet while being mindful of the precept against killing, the Centre currently has a kitchen that serves vegetarian lunch and dinner to the public. To further encourage acts of compassion, all proceeds from the Kitchen are directed into the Centre’s Welfare fund to support our charity work. As part of the building expansion plans, the kitchen will be developed into a vegetarian restaurant with alfresco dining. |
Seeing the limited land resources in Singapore, the Centre also frequently shares its facilities and resources with Buddhist organisations and societies such as Cakkavala Meditation Centre and other Buddhist student and youth societies, by allowing them to make use of the facilities to organise activities and events. |
